Join us for our annual An Evening of Happiness, this year's theme is Share Happiness, focusing on the importance of connections, kindness and helping each other. During this engaging and interactive event our incredible speakers will share techniques and tips that research suggests can improve your wellbeing and happiness.
- Michael Inglis is an endorsed and accredited Sport, Performance and Exercise Psychologist and has been working in the mental health field since 1999. He is the co-director of the Mind Room and believes in a holistic approach to performance and that the wellbeing of athletes off-the-field is just as important as their performance on-the-field.
- Dr Narelle Lemon is an Associate Professor in Education at Swinburne University of Technology where her focuses are engagement and participation in the arts, social media for learning and mindfulness. She founded Explore and Create Co which offers strengths-based coaching, workshops and interventions. She'll be taking us through a creative, immersive mindfullness experience.
- Peta Minter is the founder and director of Positive Music, a company that custom designs corporate team building events, wellbeing programs, drum circle facilitator training and meditation music. Peta composes and records her own ambient music for relaxation and meditation. She has performed with some of Australia's top musicians and to sellout crowds in Japan and is also a certified personal coach.
- Roz Rimes is an educator, coach, guest lecturer and founder of social enterprise ‘Live with Zest’. She has a Masters of Applied Positive Psychology and works with her Australian Labradoodles Flash and Rafa, who have advanced Canine-Assisted Therapy qualifications. Roz and Flash have been a volunteer therapy team, soothing and strengthening patients for over seven years at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and now St Vincent’s Private Hospital.
The evening will be hosted by Action for Happiness Australia Board Member, Marc Jongebloed. 100% of profits from the event will go to support our work to create a happier and more compassionate society.
Doors open at 6.30pm for a 6.45pm start. We will be serving light refreshments and tea and coffee again this year. Plus, there's also an opportunity to pre-purchase wine and beer (please note, there will be no opportunity to purchase alcohol on the evening).
